A high-altitude Big Bang for a Yacht Club!
La Cote des Montres - January 16th, 2007

Hublot Big Bang “Yacht Club Courchevel”

It is little wonder that Hublot is involved in the creation of a Yacht Club in the Alps. Already a loyal partner of the Monaco Yacht Club and the Real Club Nautico de Palma, the company is very familiar with the sea… but now it’s extending its stamping ground to the mountains! The aim of the Courchevel Yacht Club is to invite the yachting fraternity to rise to new peaks… namely an altitude of 1,850 m..

Yacht owners with a passion for skiing will be getting together in an unusual environment for a nautical club, and Hublot is keen to share in this extraordinary adventure. To mark the event, the brand has specially designed a new Big Bang clad entirely in black. Still as bold and as racy as ever, with its contemporary, almost avant-garde lines and its self-assured elegance, we are instantly reminded of the day, nigh on a year ago, that the brand scooped the Design Prize at the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix. The steel case with matt black ceramic bezel lends it an air of rock-like power and austerity, and the crest emblazoned across the dial adds a hint of freshness and subtle familiarity with the sea.

Once again, Hublot puts its signature to a splendid illustration of the Fusion of materials. From the essence of raw nature through to the most cutting-edge technology, from natural elements through to luxury and refinement, this noble timepiece is the epitome of harmonious balance!
