TAG Heuer presents the Link chronograph version
This model is the latest addition to the Link collection, which received a makeover in 2016. Following the diamond bezel version, this is a more sporty incarnation featuring a chronograph.
Does anyone really need reminding of TAG Heuer’s contribution to the world of chronographs and accurate timing? At its manufacture in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the watch brand has been inventing and producing some of the most accurate chronographs in the Swiss watchmaking industry for over 150 years, while pushing the boundaries of timing accuracy - 1/10, 1/100, 1/1000 and 5/10,000 of a second.
So it was a natural step for TAG Heuer to unveil its Link model in a chronograph version, giving this iconic piece a stylish, sporty look.
Link. A design that dates back to 1987. Its defining feature is the immediately recognisable bracelet, boasting the signature S-shaped links. It is both an iconic design and a standard bearer in terms of ergonomics and wearer comfort. Each link is rounded on the top, bottom and sides for an exceptionally smooth feel on the wrist.
With a diameter of 41 mm, the black or blue sunray open dial allows for maximum readability, while the bezel features two components, combining two designs: a cushion base and an overlaid ring. Thanks to its four subtle corners, the case shape lies between round and cushion, giving it a softer, more understated design.
The chronograph is a calibre 17 with the small second counter at 3 o’clock, the chronograph minute counter at 9 o’clock and the hour counter at 6 o’clock; These three small snailed counters contrast with the black dial, giving an impression of speed as they reflect back the light.
Made entirely of steel, the bracelet is totally integrated into the case, making lugs superfluous, and providing a more fluid and ergonomic design. Each component of the bracelet is polished, ensuring it is smooth to the touch and flexible on the wrist. Thank to this sublime attention to detail, wearing the Link becomes a veritable experience, one filled with elegance and charm. The finishes are sophisticated, with a combination of polished and brushed finishes on the case and bracelet.
Price of the Link Chronograph is 4’750 CHF/ 4’250 EUR / 3’900 GBP / 4’950 USD / 525’000 JPY / 39’100 HKD
