Geneva, Switzerland - Hollywood actor, former governor of California and friend of Audemars Piguet, Arnold Schwarzenegger visited the brand’s stand at the 22nd edition of the SIHH (Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, Genève) on Thursday 19th January in Geneva, Switzerland.
After having a tour of the Audemars Piguet stand, Mr Schwarzenegger along with Mr Philippe Merk, CEO of the brand, had a private viewing of the 2012 novelties.
The year 2012 is a special anniversary year for Audemars Piguet, as it celebrates 40 years since the introduction of the most iconic sports watch in the history of Haute Horlogerie, the Royal Oak. Proudly wearing one of his favourite model, the Royal Oak Offshore Arnold Schwarzenegger The Legacy, he was really impressed by the openworked extra-thin Royal Oak tourbillon, a limited edition of 40 pieces especially created for the 40th year anniversary of the collection. He then had the chance to speak to Octavio Garcia, Audemars Piguet Creative Director and congratulated him on the design of the collections.
Mr Schwarzenegger ended his visit with a short tour around the salon where he greeted many of his fans!
