Margot Robbie is an Academy Award nominated actress and producer who has captivated global audiences with breakout performances alongside some of the most notable names in film. Robbie is currently in production on The Untitled David O. Russell film. The film will also star Robert De Niro, Christian Bale, Chris Rock, and John David Washington, among others. After that, she will start shooting Damien Chazelle’s new movie Babylon, alongside Brad Pitt. Later this year, Robbie is set to reprise her role as Harley Quinn in wrapped The Suicide Squad, directed by James Gunn, which is the sequel to Suicide Squad. The film will be released on August 6, 2021.

In 2020, Robbie starred in the Harley Quinn spin-off, Birds of Prey. She also served as a producer on the film, which was released on February 7.

In 2019, Robbie starred in Bombshell, directed by Jay Roach, and in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood as Sharon Tate alongside Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio. She received a BAFTA nomination for her performance. The film, which debuted at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2019 to rave reviews, went on to win a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture-Musical/ Comedy.

Robbie’s production company, LuckyChap, released their first television show Dollface in November 2019, which has been renewed for a second season.

In 2018, Margot starred in Josie Rourke’s Mary Queen of Scots. She received SAG and BAFTA nominations for her performance.

Most notably, Robbie starred in I, Tonya, as Tonya Harding. Robbie also served as a producer on the film under her production company, LuckyChap Entertainment. The film premiered at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival.

In 2016, Robbie appeared in Suicide Squad, playing the coveted role of Harley Quinn, first time for the comic book character revealed on the big screen. The film, directed by David Ayer, grossed more than $356,700,000 million worldwide.

Robbie’s breakout role came in 2013 in Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street in which she stars as the female lead opposite Leonardo DiCaprio.

Their independent film Dreamland starring Margot Robbie premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2019 and was released in 2020.

LuckyChap Entertainment has several other projects currently in development, with a first-look film production deal with Warner Bros. Studios and a first-look television deal with Amazon Studios. LuckyChap is currently in production on Maid, a female-driven dramedy series starring Margaret Qualley, inspired by Stephanie Land’s New York Times best-selling memoir. LuckyChap’s business encompasses studio franchise films, such as the upcoming first live action feature of Barbie with Mattel and Warner Bros., with Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach set to co-write the screenplay.

Born in Australia, Margot Robbie grew up on the Gold Coast and eventually moved to Melbourne where she began acting professionally at the age of 17. She currently resides in Los Angeles.
