Hublot celebrates the launch of limited edition watch with the Prince’s Trust at Kensington Palace Orangery
La Cote des Montres - May 12th, 2017

To mark the occasion of more than 40 years of supporting disadvantaged young people in the United Kingdom, Hublot has partnered with The Prince’s Trust to create a Special Edition charity timepiece the “Classic Fusion Chronograph Prince’s Trust”.

In recognition of this prestigious new philanthropic partnership haute horology watch brand Hublot hosted an exclusive evening at London’s historic Kensington Palace Gardens. Guests were invited to attend a private tour of the grandeur of The King’s Apartments, followed by a seasonal gala dinner held in the magnificent surroundings of The Orangery.

The exclusive Prince’s Trust edition was showcased inside the iconic Orangery framed by the Hublot “H” sculpted from blue hydrangeas, paying homage to the beauty of the grounds at Kensington Palace.

Hublot CEO, Ricardo Guadalupe, hosted the evening and was joined by special guests Paul Brown, The Prince’s Trust Marketing Director and Helen David, Harrods Chief Merchant. The event was compered by the charming and accomplished broadcast journalist and presenter Natasha Kaplinksy.

Also in attendance at the event was former England Football superstar Rio Ferdinand and Chelsea FC legends Nemanja Matic and Asmir Begovic. Hublot brand ambassador Maxime Büchi, creative designer and artist who worked on Hublot Sang Bleu watches, also joined the charitable event.

Swiss Haute Horology specialist Hublot revealed the new limited edition timepiece the “Classic Fusion Chronograph Prince’s Trust’” - a distinctive yet understated collectors timepiece featuring a 45mm case in polished and satin-finished titanium and blue sun-ray satin finished chronograph dial powered by the self-winding movement featuring a 42 hour power reserve. The on-trend blue theme continues with the rubber and alcantara strap. The timepiece is completed by The Prince’s Trust logo shown at 12 o’clock.

Hublot has limited this timepiece to just 100 pieces available exclusively in the United Kingdom, with a portion of proceeds from the sale of each one going directly to the Prince’s Trust charity. Harrods will launch the collection with exclusivity for 1 month from April 27th 2017.

"We are delighted to partner with The Prince’s Trust on this special project which strives to recognise and advance the full potential of disadvantaged young people in the UK and Ireland. As a leading yet relatively new Swiss watch manufacture, Hublot values the need to constantly invest in advancing innovation and securing a promising future, and we see the United Kingdom and Ireland as the perfect territory to put this vision in to practice with the important charitable work of The Prince’s Trust."
Ricardo Guadalupe, Hublot CEO

“We are really excited to be working with Hublot on this unique partnership. The fundraising through this innovative collaboration will change the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable young people across the UK.”
Paul Brown, Director of Marketing and Communications

About The Prince’s Trust

Youth charity The Prince’s Trust helps disadvantaged young people to get their lives on track. It supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed and those struggling at school and at risk of exclusion. Many of the young people helped by The Trust are in or leaving care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health problems, or have been in trouble with the law. The Trust’s programmes give vulnerable young people the practical and financial support needed to stabilise their lives, helping develop self-esteem and skills for work. Three in four young people supported by The Prince’s Trust move into work, education or training. The Prince of Wales’s charity has helped 825,000 young people since 1976 and supports over 100 more each day.
