In his Little Dictionary of Fashion, published in 1954, Christian Dior celebrated the virtues of black, a color that can be worn at any time, at any age and on any occasion: “I could write a whole book on black,” said the couturier.

Today, the Artistic Director of Dior Joaillerie, Victoire de Castellane, opens a new chapter in the timepiece’s history by dressing up La D de Dior watch in an all-black ensemble. The color being deeply rooted in Dior’s history, she imagined La D de Dior Black Ultramatte as a mysterious, yet familiar canvas on which to project a reflection of one’s personality.

Created in 2003, La D de Dior was dreamed up as “a ribbon that tells time,” becoming a timeless icon of the House in the two decades since. By dipping it in a bath of matte ink, Dior has given it an elegant, ultra-contemporary, and completely black dimension. With its 34-millimeter round case that features a dial adorned with three black diamond markers and its steel bracelet textured with the Satine pattern, it is sure to magnify any wrist.

La D de Dior Black Ultramatte is also available with a black diamond-set bezel, whose light-dark radiance appears as chic as it is precious.
