The Ferrari Scuderia Chrono 1/8
th second watch by Panerai - ref.: FER00025>
The yellow shield typical of the Scuderia Collection, the hands of the same colour, as well as the inscription Tachymeter, the two subsidiary counters, one for the minutes and the other relating to the 1/8th-second function, the Prancing Horse engraved on the visible rotor; all of these are the aesthetic components which distinguish this chronograph.

It is supplied with two straps, one in rubber with the inscription “Ferrari” longitudinally incised and the other a reserve one in black calf with cayman lining. The Panerai calibre OP XXI movement is fitted with 42 jewels and makes 28,800 alternations/hour. A watch of outstanding sports character, it is offered in a unique edition of 300 units. The sense of acceleration demonstrated by this chronograph, its preciousness and use of the most advanced technology, the uniqueness of the limited series, all seem to be moving in parallel with the fastest Ferrari of all time, the Enzo which bears the name of the founder of the company.

Launched in 2002, this was the fastest ever gran turismo from the Prancing Horse, capable of exceeding 350 kilometres per hour. It is a Formula 1 car for the road, combining the advantages of a Grand Prix single seater and the qualities of a road car. Michael Schumacher, the driver with the most Formula 1 Driver’s titles of all time, participated in testing it, providing valuable advice for perfecting the car’s performance, its roadholding and its safety.

Produced in 399 examples, the Enzo has now evolved with the FXX, an edition of 29 models, star of a project without precedent: its owners may drive it only on the track and they take part as test drivers in a programme designed to bring about further developments.
