Manchester, 8th February 2017 – Manchester United is off to a strong start this year with its official timekeeper, TAG Heuer. The watch manufacture is proud to unveil the first watches in the colours of the world’s most famous football club today, alongside the players at Old Trafford.
Meet the new TAG Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph. Made from steel covered in black PVD, this quartz chronograph inspired by football features a notched, black titanium carbide bezel with a tachymeter scale. The hour and minute hands and the baton indices are made from black gold with white Superluminova™ for optimal readability. The Arabic numeral 12, in red lacquer and located at 12 o’clock, contrasts with the opaline black dial, echoing the colours of Manchester United. In striking white, the TAG Heuer logo at 12 o’clock and Manchester United logo positioned on the counter at 6 o’clock stand out particularly clearly. The date, meanwhile, is positioned at 4 o’clock on a white disc. The screw-down case is engraved with the Manchester United logo. Finally, the bi-injection rubber strap also references the English club’s colours, black and red. Thanks to the 1/10 second hand, which completes one revolution of the counter positioned at 6 o’clock every second, this chronograph is not just a pleasure to look at, it is also one of the best value watches on the market, with accomplished finishes to honour that most prestigious of clubs, Manchester United. It will certainly delight the 659 million Manchester United supporters worldwide, and meet their high demand.
